01 / How it works
Prompt Plus lives in your menu bar. You bring an OpenRouter API key, pick a model, and use a keyboard shortcut wherever you're writing.
Open Prompt Plus from Applications and paste an OpenRouter API key into Settings.
Pick any model from OpenRouter's catalog. OpenRouter sets the prices, and Prompt Plus shows them per million tokens.
Prompt Plus sends the selection to your model and pastes the improved prompt over it. It needs macOS Accessibility permission to do this.
Press ⌃⌘⇧E to answer up to three quick questions first, optionally with a screenshot or image.

You're buying a license to use Prompt Plus for macOS, not ownership of the software or its intellectual property. OpenRouter usage is billed separately by OpenRouter.
Payment is handled by Stripe. Checkout shows the purchase as "Sold through Link", the merchant of record, so your receipt comes from Link and your card statement shows a charge starting with LINK.COM*. Checkout may offer your local currency; that converted price includes Stripe's currency-conversion fee, so choose US dollars to pay exactly US$4.95.

05 / Your AI, your account
Prompt Plus doesn't include AI usage. It sends your requests to OpenRouter, a service that gives one API key access to models from many providers. You create the key, choose the model and control your spending on OpenRouter.
OpenRouter bills model usage separately, at the prices it sets for each model. That cost isn't part of your Prompt Plus purchase. Some free models are available with daily request limits.
Set a credit limit on your key at openrouter.ai to cap what it can spend.

The trial will be a separate free download with every feature, released at launch. It runs for 7 days, counted from the first time you open it. After that, model requests stop until you install the full version. You won't need an email address or account to download it.
Before launch, the founder pre-order: a one-time license to use Prompt Plus for macOS, for US$4.95 with tax included. After checkout you can download the beta straight away, and we email you a link so you can download it again later. When the signed full version is released, the same link gives you that instead, at no extra cost.
No. You pay once. Prompt Plus has no recurring fee. The only ongoing cost is your own OpenRouter usage, which OpenRouter bills directly.
No. You own a license to use your copy of Prompt Plus for macOS. AI Huntr Consulting keeps ownership of the software and its intellectual property. The terms explain what the license covers.
Within 14 days of your purchase, email Gerard@aihuntrconsulting.com from the address you paid with and ask for a refund. No questions asked. A refund ends your license and your download access. See the refund policy.
Enter the email address you paid with on the recovery page. If it matches a purchase, we'll email you a new download link. You can download the current macOS release again this way. We don't promise future versions or features.
It depends on the model. OpenRouter charges per token at prices it sets for each model, deducted from credits you buy on OpenRouter. Some models are free with daily request limits. This usage is billed by OpenRouter and isn't included in your Prompt Plus purchase. The setup guide explains credits and limits.
When you use a feature, the app sends your text (and any screenshot or image you attach) to OpenRouter, along with any master or system prompt you've loaded as context. OpenRouter passes it to the model provider you chose. Your settings, prompts and encrypted API key stay on your Mac. The app has no analytics or telemetry, and we never see your prompts or your key. Read the privacy policy for the details.
Accessibility lets Prompt Plus read the text you've selected and paste the result back, so the shortcuts need it. Screen Recording is optional and only used when you choose Attach screenshot in Clarify Enhance. Pasting an image from your clipboard doesn't need it.
